Biography
Dr. Christine Walwyn is the appointed Diaspora Ambassador for the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis. She is an entrepreneur with over twenty years of experience in business management and marketing, coupled with a forte in planning and execution of projects. Her firm, Walwyn Consulting has managed major events for top clients such as the World Bank, UNESCO, University of the West Indies and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre. Additionally, she was a senior lecturer at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in S.t Kitts in the Associate Degree Programme in Business, Entrepreneurship and Management.
Dr. Walwyn has extensive knowledge and experience of International funded projects having worked with EU EDF, OAS, CDB and UN Women. She is former country coordinator for the Caribbean Institute on Women in Leadership, Team member on UNDEF Projects for Women in Leadership; the Women Leaders as Agent of Change Caribbean Regional Colloquium and a graduate of Yale University’s Women in Politics certification program.
She has varied international experience having lived and worked in Canada, USA, Italy and the Caribbean and is Past President of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) Saint Kitts and is currently the Regional Events and Financial Officer for BPW North America and the Caribbean. A former CEO of the Saint Kitts Tourism Authority where she developed an maintain strong and supportive relationship with industry stakeholders. She worked in sports administration with the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association and the National Olympic Committee. She is a former Circuit Steward of the Methodist Church and the Leeward Islands Representative to the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas.
Dr. Walwyn holds a Ph.D. in International Business.
